Dundee United can confirm the appeal against the red card shown to Ryan Edwards during Saturday's cinch Premiership match against Heart of Midlothian has been dismissed.

The defender will serve a two-match suspension, which includes this weekend's clash with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup.

The club will make no further comment at this time.
