United will again be heading for Ireland as part of their pre-season build up, manager Paul Sturrock announced on Thursday. For the second year running Paul will take the first team squad to the Emerald Isle for training and three games.
The tour will get underway on July 10 and the follwing night the Tangerines will face Bohemians. Then, on July 13th, they will face Bray Wanderers, before finishing on the 15th with a friendly against St Patrick's.
"It's a good place to prepare. The facilities are good for training and as we are playing two of the top three from their league last season, the games should be a reasonable test," says Paul.
By the time the tour gets underway he hopes to be in a position to include several trialists in the party and have a look at them in a match situation.
