Manager Paul Sturrock got down to finalising his squad on Friday for the three game tour of Ireland which gets underway next week.
The manager has drawn up a list of 17 players who will fly out from Glasgow on Monday lunch-time and over the weekend that number will grow by another three. The three additions will almost certainly be some of the foreign trialists who have been training with the club this week. There are now four of them and they will be given the chance to get on the plane in tomorrow's closed-door game against senior opposition.
"If they do well they'll be in Ireland, but I've also put a few signed players on stand-by for the trip," says Paul.
One trialist already assured of his placenext week is Grant Johnson, but the club have dropped their interest in extending winger Leigh Jenkinson's stay. "Leigh and I chatted about his situation and he came to the conclusion he would rather go back down south and look for permanent employment there, so we have parted amicably," adds Paul.
The squad so far for Ireland reads-Combe, Gallacher, McQuillan, McCracken, Partridge, Aljofree, Buchan, Venetis, Hannah, Davidson, Easton, Paterson, Mathie, Thompson, McConalogue, Hamilton, Johnson.
