United have arrived in Ireland for their three-match tour, while back home comes the news that Tannadice Season Ticket sales have reached the 4,000 mark.
Preparations for the new campaign will kick-off with Tuesday evening's clash against Bohemians in Dublin. Manager Paul Sturrock intends fielding three foreign triailsts in that one, after their impressive scoring performances in a closed-door friendly at the weekend.
Said Sturrock," The trio did well on Saturday, and if they continue to impress me in Ireland, I'll start up negotiations right away.
Playing in Ireland is similar in style to the Scottish game so I'll be able to assess their adaptability as well."
Missing from the tour party are Canadians Jason de Vos and Pat Onstad, who are on international duty.
