Dundee United today announce the signing of Adam Barton from Partick Thistle on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old 6’3”-tall central midfielder started his playing career in 2008 at Preston North End before moving on to Coventry City, Portsmouth and most recently Partick Thistle where he was named the Club’s player of the year in his first season and notched up 43 appearances in his second. Born in England, Adam has also represented Northern Ireland as well as starred for the Republic of Ireland U-21s.
Manager Csaba Laszlo said: “I am delighted to have secured the signing of a player of Adam’s ability. He is giving us crucial height and physicality in defensive midfield and is a strong character to have in the squad.”
