BETFRED CUP FIXTURES REVEALED

The Betfred Cup Group C fixtures were announced by the SPFL on Tuesday afternoon. United will entertain Raith Rovers at Tannadice on Sat 15 July at 3pm before travelling to Victoria Park to visit Buckie Thistle on Tue 18 July at 8pm. The Terrors will be back in action at Tannadice on Sun 23 July when Cowdenbeath visit before the group stages finish for United with a visit to Dens Park  on Sun 30 July to play neighbours Dundee FC in a derby broadcast live on BT Sport. Prices for all ties will be announced in due course. The group stage uses the traditional three points for a win and one point for a draw model however all drawn matches will go straight to a penalty shoot-out whereby the winner of the penalty shoot-out will be awarded a bonus point. The eight group winners and four best runners-up progress to the Second Round, when they are joined by the four UEFA qualifying clubs and the competition reverts to traditional knockout format.
