Dundee United can confirm today that Paul Dixon has left the Club.
Paul re-joined Dundee United on 2 February 2015 and over his two spells at Tannadice has played a total of 223 games scoring six goals, most memorably the winner against Falkirk in the second leg of the Ladbrokes Premiership Semi Final play-off on 19 May 2017.
Paul said: “I would like to thank everybody at the Club and in particular the fans. I am gutted we could not gain promotion this year and hope United win the Championship next season. It is time now for me to depart and find a new challenge whilst I return to being a United fan and supporting the Club that way. “
Manager Ray McKinnon said: “Paul has been an outstanding servant of the Club and we wish him all the very best. He will be an excellent asset for any club but I know, having spoken to him, that we will see him in the stands of Tannadice in the future.”
Paul is the 11th player to leave the Club in recent days.
