Neil Heaney became Manager Paul Sturrock's third capture of the close season when he signed for United today.
The former Darlington winger, who started his career with Arsenal, had a very successful two and half year stay with Southampton before a big-money transfer took him to Manchester City. Neil joined Darlington in the summer of 1999 and was part of the Quakers team which got to the 1999/2000 Play-Offs final.
