United travel to Fife this weekend for their first competitive encounter at Starks Park in 20 years. Having lost to bottom of the league St Mirren last weekend and not claiming full points from a match since late October, United’s hosts will be desperate to return to winning ways. The Tangerines have been on an excellent run of form of late and the defence in particular deserves praise with eight clean sheets in the last ten games. Following a difficult game away to Ayr United, they will be under no illusions that nothing less than more hard grind and grit are required when they face Ray’s former Club. With the notable exceptions of Paul Dixon and Simon Murray, McKinnon has a full squad to choose from as a strong and vocal United support is expected to make the trip across the water. Admission to this game is by paying at the gate and prices are as follows: £20 – Adults £25 – Family ticket – full paying adult with one Under-16 £10 – OAPs and Under-16s Dundee Utd supporters are accommodated in the McDermid Stand. Concession tickets must be purchased from the ticket pod at the rear of the McDermid Stand. The ticket pod opens at 13.30 and proof of entitlement is required. Turnstiles will open at 1400. There will be five turnstiles in operation and supporters are requested to use all and follow directions of stewards in the concourse to minimise delays accessing seats. Parking: Pratt Street will close at 1430 and ALL road traffic will be diverted until the roadway is clear of pedestrians. It will close again from 1630. Coaches can park at Beveridge Park Coach Park or the esplanade Kirkcaldy – Please ensure your route does not involve Pratt Street after 1430/16.30. There are 14 blue badge spaces at the North Car Park to the rear of the McDermid allocated on a first come basis. Once the car park is full, a drop off facility will operate until 1430. All fans are respectfully requested to conduct themselves in a manner that does not bring the Club and its supporters into disrepute and adhere to the Ground Regulations. Searches will be carried out at the turnstiles for any controlled containers and pyrotechnics. Under the Sporting Events Act 1985, being in possession of a pyrotechnic device at a football match, or attempting to bring a pyrotechnic device into a football stadium, is a criminal offence. Any person committing such an offence faces immediate arrest and a life time ban from the Club. Surfing flags are not permitted.
