Ray McKinnon's era as Dundee United Manager started with a 3-0 victory over Cove Rangers in a closed door game at St Andrews this afternoon.
Two first half goals by our trialist striker were added to in the second half by a solitary Henri Anier strike as the Manager used the opportunity to give all seventeen stripped outfield players a run-out behind Cammy Bell in goal.
"It was a good run out and the lads were superb. It is about getting the fitness up and if you pushed me for a criticism it's that we could have scored more. For the first game in pre-season, I am delighted by the fitness levels and performance levels." said Ray after the match.
Starting XI: Bell, Dillon, Dixon, Donaldson, Trialist, Trialist, Murdoch, Spittal, Fraser, Trialist and Murray.
Subs: Zwick (unused), Anier, Cotte, Johnson, Trialist, Toshney, Robson and Telfer.
