Tannadice Ticketing And Access Arrangements

As previously advised, record season ticket numbers this year have resulted in capacity and access issues in certain areas of the stadium and revised all ticketing arrangements for the George Fox Stand had to be implemented for reasons of safety, security of seat and convenience. While we appreciate that these arrangements do not suit all of our supporters, we must act in the best interests of the majority of patrons in this stand and it is encouraging to note that non season ticket holders who wish to access this are purchasing tickets in advance or on the day of the match, with only a few tickets left by 2pm last Saturday (Partick Thistle match). This ensures that all supporters in this stand have a specific guaranteed seat and we have received very positive feedback about this. A similar situation is now apparent in the Eddie Thompson Upper Stand, with limited availability in general and a shortage of seats long before kick off last week causing congestion at the turnstiles and inconvenience for supporters. It is therefore necessary to make entry to this tier by ticket only, in the same way as the George Fox. At the same time, we are very aware that this would leave the Eddie Thompson Lower Stand the only area in which cash turnstiles were available and, following discussions with the Federation of Dundee United Supporters’ Clubs, it has been agreed to open the Jerry Kerr Stand (Sections A & B) as an overspill area for the rest of the season. This will provide a further stand for cash admissions for those supporters who have not purchased a ticket and who prefer not to sit in the Eddie Thompson Lower. Supporters therefore will have the following seating and payment choices with regard to attending matches at Tannadice:

• George Fox Stand and Eddie Thompson Upper – seat specific ticket only. Tickets can be purchased online or by telephone or at the ticket office in the Club Shop. Telephone orders will be accepted up until 12 noon on match days and over the counter sales will continue right up until kick off (all subject to availability).
• Eddie Thompson Lower – seat specific tickets can be pre purchased as above, but cash turnstiles will continue to be available, with the exception of all ticket matches.
• Jerry Kerr Stand – strictly cash turnstiles only, with unallocated seating, with the exception of all ticket matches.

The special £3 ticket charge for kids under 12 is only available in the George Fox Lower Family Stand to match day ticket purchasers. Due to limited availability, any supporter wishing to take advantage of this special price is encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Season ticket holders in this family stand have already had the earlier opportunity to receive a free U12 season ticket or to purchase one for just £20.
