United swooped into the transfer market on Friday when they fixed up Scot Charlie Miller from Watford and Argentinian Beto Naveda, who was formerly with Boca Juniors.
Ex-Scotland Under-21 skipper and Rangers star Miller has signed up for the next two-and-half years while Naveda, who also had a spell in MLS in America, is at Tannadice until the end of the season at least.
Announcing the signings, boss Alex Smith confirmed both will play against Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday. "I have targeted areas I feel need strengthening and I believe Charlie and Beto will add quality to the side. Charlie is a creative midfielder who can also get goals from that area or as a striker, while Beto can play right up front or just behind the strikers," said Alex. "I am looking for them to form a good partnership that will help us improve our current position."
