Following the disappointment of another defeat when United went down at St Johnstone on Saturday, Manager Alex Smith has stepped up his search for a proven goalscorer. The Manager realises the goals drought that has dogged the side for much of the season has to end soon, and the coaching staff at Tannadice will be taking in games this week to run their eye over possible targets.
"It is obvious we need a man who can put the ball in the net and we do have two or three players in mind. We would like someone in for this weekend but it is not easy because everyone is looking for this kind of player," said Alex on Monday.
