ALEX SMITH’S DUNFERMLINE MATCH COMMENTS

Manager Alex Smith drew some comfort from the 1-0 defeat by Dunfermline at East End Park. He saw some improvement compared to the performance against St. Johnstone the previous Saturday but pin-pointed the loss of avoidable goals as an immediate concern. "It was a hard game, a tough game. I thought we dominated the first twenty minutes but we couldn't get a break. The goal we lost before half-time was down to bad defending and it gave them a lift." "Overall, it was a much better display from us than last Saturday. We battled and scratched well but we can't afford to keep giving goals away. We will keep working and we will keep looking to strengthen our side."
