United manager Alex Smith expressed satisfaction with some aspects of Saturday's second half performance against Motherwell at Tannadice and acknowledged the positive support provided by the United fans. "I was very pleased with the second half but I wasn't happy with the way we played in the first. We played the game a lot further up the park in the second half and we took control of the game."
