Tannadice newcomer Neil Heaney took a further step along the fitness trail when completing over an hour of a midweek friendly against St. Andrews United.
The former Darlington winger was joined by first-team squad youngsters Stephen McConalogue and Hugh Davidson as an otherwise youthful United coasted to a 6-2 win over the Fife junior outfit. Heaney was included amongst the Tannadice scorers as he gained some much-needed match practice in the game.
Coach Maurice Malpas said,"Neil has been badly in need of games, as were several others in the side. "It was great for the kids, and a decent workout for everyone involved". Apart from the St Andrews experience, Malpas has been involved in recent days in the club's concerted bid to find new faces capable of stepping into the top team. The entire Tannadice backroom staff have travelled far and wide as the net spreads for fresh talent.
