Free of suspension, defender David Partridge returned to the United squad for Saturday's SPL visit to Hibs - but with a warning from team boss Paul Sturrock. While the Welsh under-21 was outstanding last term at both left back and centre-half, he picked up too many bookings for the manager, or the SFA's, liking.
"Over the summer we had a warning letter telling us to make sure our disciplinary record improved this season because it wasn't good enough last term," revealed Paul. "David's bookings had a lot to do with us getting that and he really has to make sure he cuts that out. "Dundee United normally do not get these kind of letters and David is no use to us in the stand, so he has to get the message."
