Dundee United hope to be able to make a statement on Monday afternoon clarifying manager Paul Sturrock's position.
Chairman Jim McLean has confirmed that Paul contacted him on Saturday evening to indicate he would be tendering his resignation. During the day on Monday Paul was holding talks with the Directors.
